Asumi Sunaida (砂井田 飛美, Sunaida Asumi) is a supporting character in the Sound! Euphonium series. She is a student at Kitauji High School two years below Kumiko Oumae who is a percussionist in the school's concert band.

Asumi has short curly black hair with bangs pinned to her left with a green hairpin. She has hazel eyes.

- The name Asumi means "fly" (飛) (asu) and "beauty, beautiful" (美) (mi).
- Asumi's surname Sunaida means "sand" (砂) (suna), "well, well crib, town, community" (井) (i) and "rice field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
