Ayako Sakasaki (坂崎 彩子, Sakasaki Ayako) is a supporting character in the Sound! Euphonium series. She is a student at Kitauji High School one year below Kumiko Oumae who is a bass clarinetist in the school's concert band.

Ayako has long dark purple hair and very long bangs that cover her left eye.
Personality[]
Since Ayako is an extremely shy girl, she sticks with Youko Matsuzaki (Ayako's fellow bass clarinetist) during band practice. [1]
Etymology[]
- The name Ayako means "color" (彩) (aya) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Ayako's surname Sakasaki means "slope, hill" (坂) (saka) and "cape, peninsula" (崎) (saki).
Trivia[]
- Ayako always looks down and walks fast, so she bumps into things a lot.[1]
