Babe Uchida (内田 ベイブ Uchida Beibu) is a side character of Sound! Euphonium: The Movie - Our Promise: A Brand New Day film. She is a new first-year at Kitauji High School who joins the band as a tenor saxophonist in Kumiko Oumae's second year.
Background[]
Babe is the mediator between all the first year sax players, so the section leader Sumiko Hirao relies on her.
Etymology[]
- Babe's surname Uchida means "inside, within" (内) (uchi) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
