Connected Melodies (つながるメロディ Tsunagaru Merodi) is the thirteenth and final episode of Sound! Euphonium 3 anime series. It was originally aired on June 30, 2024.

Synopsis[]

Five days before the National Competition, Michie informs the students that a cherry blossom tree was planted to celebrate their graduation. She says it will bloom when Kumiko and her classmates become full-fledged members of society.

Seven days before that, Mayu and Tsubame want to take a graduation committee photo of Kumiko and her friends. Earlier, Mayu had liked the song Kumiko played, Sound! Euphonium, lent by Asuka near Season 2's end, and accepted Kumiko's invitation to play it together. Kanade later joins them at Kumiko's invitation, recalling Asuka's wish for the song to be passed down.

Two days before Nationals, Kumiko and Reina practice together. Reina shares her plans to study music in America under her father's friend and aims to confess her feelings to Taki once she achieves her musical goals.

The day before Nationals, Midori expresses her excitement for the competition, and Hazuki boosts everyone's morale.

On competition day, Kaori and Haruka encourage Kumiko, hoping she can lead Kitauji to victory. Kaho gives Kumiko a group photo, reflecting on their final performance together. The bands perform a ritual to boost confidence, and Taki gives an inspiring speech before their performance.

During the performance, Yuuko and Natsuki arrive late but support the band from outside. Kitauji receives a standing ovation and wins gold. Kumiko reflects on her journey with the band, expressing no regrets.

After their victory, Kitauji celebrates, and Kumiko reflects on everyone's future. The story ends with Kumiko as the new assistant advisor, welcoming new students to the band, determined to help them win gold at Nationals.
