She became the double reeds section leader in her second year as no third year is in the section.

Personality[]
Ririka has a light and cheerful but slow-paced childlike personality. She likes cute things and is extremely friendly even though she is a bit shy. She can be air-headed at times, corresponding to her in appearance easygoing personality.
According to Kanade, Ririka deliberately takes advantage of her bubbly nature to easily brush off any improper behavior. When she needs to sneak up to someone, she ruthlessly calculates to use it.
Ririka also has quirks that can make her appear puzzling at times, like giving out convenience store eggs.
Chronology[]
Ririka arrives to Kitauji during Kumiko's second year and joins the Kitauji High School Concert Band as an oboe player. With the two other new double reeds players in her section, Eru Kabutodani and Suruga Koteyama, she revitalize the section, but her firsts attempts to befriend their senior Mizore Yoroizuka fail, as the three of them organize activities and hang out. Set back by Mizore's behaviour, Ririka seeks advice to Mizore's friend Nozomi Kasaki. Throughout the year, Ririka's constant efforts gradually pay off, Mizore growing more interested in her, teaching her about oboe, how to make reeds and even practicing together.[note 1] After the auditions, Ririka is not selected to play in the A group, which makes her cry because she cannot play with Mizore at competitions.
During the year, Ririka also becomes very good friends with Kanade Hisaishi, and get to know Kumiko Oumae through her.
Mizore and Ririka's relationship reached a point during the obon break where Mizore asked for the first time if she could invite Ririka to the pool, much to Nozomi's surprise who was organizing the event. Ririka and Kanade will then go to the pool with all their seniors.
During her second year, Ririka becomes the double reed section leader as there are no third years in the section. She is also in charge of the newcomers along Midori.[note 2]
Relationships[]
Her senior and fellow oboist, Ririka tries to build a good relationship with Mizore Yoroizuka. She wants to learn from her and be able to share good times together. Along the year, they get to practice together often, playing oboe duets. Mizore will also teach Ririka how to make reeds herself, cutting and tying the reeds.
Kanade and Ririka have a very close relationship, being able to talk to each other about any issue, and regularly hanging out together. They even go to each other's house, sometimes to bake as hilighted in the 5th True Story. They understand each other despite both having complex personalities which might have helped them getting closer.
The three are double reeds of the same generation. They are good friends with each other and regularly go to a family restaurant or hang out together.
Not much is known about their relationship, but they seem to be very close. Ririka even teaches Miku how to make reeds, just like Mizore used to do for her.[1]
