Scherzando (スケルツァンド Sukerushando) is a wind ensemble piece that was selected as a required performance for all high school bands competing in the 2017 All-Japan Band Competition. In real-world context, the piece won the 27th Asahi Composition Award in 2016. It was composed by Ehara Daisuke (江原大介) .
The piece is characterized by its lively and playful sound, aligning with the Italian term scherzando, meaning "playfully" or "lightheartedly". It features dynamic rhythms and technically-demanding melodies.
The Kitauji High School Concert Band plays the piece during Kumiko Oumae's 3rd year (during season 3), as the chronology started in 2015 (Kumiko's first year).
