Tairu Kitayama (北山 タイル, Kitayama Tairu) is a supporting character in the Sound! Euphonium series. He is a student at Kitauji High School one year below Kumiko Oumae who is a clarinetist in the school's concert band. During Tairu's second year, he plays the Alto Clarinet.
Appearance[]
Tairu has a comma hairstyle with the right side swept backward and curved bangs on the left side. He has emerald green eyes.
Background[]
Tairu was the president of the Minami Junior High School concert band last year. He is a talented musician with excellent technique.[1]
Etymology[]
- The name Tairu means "tile" (タイル).
- Tairu's surname Kitayama means "north" (北) (kita) and "mountain, hill" (山) (yama).
Trivia[]
- He is often compared to Reina Kousaka, since they are both extremely talented, even in their first years.
