Tomomi Hotei (布袋 知美 Hotei Tomomi) is a side character of Sound! Euphonium: The Movie - Our Promise: A Brand New Day film. She is a new first-year at Kitauji High School who joins the band as a trombonist in Kumiko Oumae's second year.
Etymology[]
- The name Tomomi means "knowledge" (知) (tomo) and "beautiful" (美) (mi).
- Tomomi's surname Hotei means "cloth" (布) (ho) and "bag, sack" (袋) (tei).
Trivia[]
- Tomomi is from Higashi Junior High School.
- Tomomi played the trombone in middle school, but since it was a very easy-going band, she's worried that she can't keep up with the Kitauji High School concert band, which is playing on a serious level.
