Tsumiki has black hair that is tied into pigtails and slightly curvy bangs, she sometimes ties her hair into braids. She has sleepy violet eyes.
She usually wears a pink cardigan outside of the standard Kitauji High School uniform for females.

Tsumiki's surname Yamane means "mountain, hill" (山) (yama) and "root" (根) (ne).

Tsumiki's hobby is watching movies, so she often recommends films to the other members of the flute section.[1]
