Yayoi Kamiishi (上石 弥生 Kamīshi Yayoi) is a supporting character in the Sound! Euphonium series. She is a student at Kitauji High School two years below Kumiko Oumae who is a tubist in the school's concert band.
Appearance[]
Yayoi is a teenage girl of a fairly short build with long dark golden-brown hair that is tied into a bun on the left side with bangs hanging on the right side, dark orange eyes and she tends to wear a red bandanna with white patterns.

Yayoi likes telling jokes.
Etymology[]
- The name Yayoi means "spring" (弥生).
- Yayoi's surname Kamiishi means "above, top, upper" (上) (kami) and "stone, volume measure" (石) (ishi).
