Youko Matsuzaki (松崎 洋子, Matsuzaki Yōko) is a supporting character in the Sound! Euphonium series. She is a student at Kitauji High School in the same year as Kumiko Oumae who plays clarinet in the school's concert band during her first year and bass clarinet during her second year.
Appearance[]
Youko has livid hair with bangs swept to sides and short pigtails, she has dark purple eyes and wears a oval-shaped glasses with silver frame.
Etymology[]
- The name Youko means "ocean" (洋) (you) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Youko's surname Matsuzaki means "pine tree, fir tree" (松) (matsu) and "cape, peninsula" (崎) (saki/zaki).
Trivia[]
- As she's a fan of "Annals of the Three Kingdom", she wants to go to China for her graduation trip.[1]
